Ingredients

1/4 cup shoyu

2 Tbsp honey

1 tsp sesame oil

2 tsp rice wine vinegar

*optional sriracha or red chile flakes

2 Tbsp canola oil

1 lb local beef, sliced

1/2 each yellow onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 Tbsp ginger, grated

1 lb broccoli, cut into florets

Steamed rice or cooked noodles

*optional 3 green onions, sliced

*optional 1 Tbsp sesame seeds

Directions

In a small bowl, whisk together shoyu, honey, sesame oil, vinegar and sriracha if desired. Set aside.

In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, warm the oil and stir-fry the beef 3-4 minutes until brown. Remove from pan.

Add more oil to the pan if needed, add the onion and stir-fry 5-7 minutes. Add the garlic and ginger and cook 1 minute more.

Add the broccoli, beef, and sauce to the pan and cook 4-5 minutes, until broccoli is tender.

Serve over hot rice or noodles and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if you have them on hand.
